About

Our philosophy is based upon the idea that the student who is informed of and involved in professional issues today forms the nexus to a strong discipline in the future. The Student Affiliates in School Psychology (SASP) is an organization formed under the auspices of the Division 16 Executive Committee of the American Psychological Association (APA). Currently, it is the only student affiliation of its kind within this discipline.

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas chapter of SASP focuses on providing opportunities for further development for all students admitted into the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School Psychology Program and positively impacting the campus and local Las Vegas community.

Established in 2015

SASP was established as a student organization on August 28, 2015.

We're here for YOU

Graduate school can be an overwhelming time period for many students. SASP is here to help students get through it by providing support and resources that can be useful throughout their time in the program and beyond.

Our Goal

The purpose of SASP is to provide an integrated communication network for graduate students concerning legislative issues impacting the future of our profession, professional/ethical issues, internship/employment opportunities, shared concerns across a variety of topics, and information across other disciplines of psychology.
